The Short Version
Kidora stores your child's learning progress only on their device. We never sell data, there are no stranger chats, and the AI only discusses educational topics. The platform is free and supported by Google AdSense — children under 13 see non-personalised ads only.
No Mandatory Accounts
Kidora works without you ever creating an account. Kids can jump straight into learning — no email, no password, no profile required. Google Sign-In is optional and only used to sync progress across devices.
Progress Stays On Your Device
XP, levels, streaks, achievements, and game history are saved in your browser's local storage — a private area that only your device can read. We never upload this data to our servers. Clearing your browser data resets your progress.
AI That's Only Educational
Kidora uses OpenAI GPT-4o-mini to power games, the AI Tutor, and companions. Every AI prompt is wrapped in a strict child-safety fence: no violence, no adult content, no solicitation of personal information. The AI only discusses curriculum subjects.
No Public Communication
There are no chat rooms, no comment sections, no social features, and no way for children to communicate with strangers. All AI conversations are private and stay within the app.
Advertising & Cookies
Kidora displays advertisements served by Google AdSense to support the free platform. Google AdSense uses cookies to serve ads. Users who indicate they are under 13 receive non-personalised, child-directed ads only — no behavioural tracking. Users 13 and over may see interest-based ads. You can opt out of personalised ads at google.com/settings/ads. We do not sell your data to advertisers.
Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Kidora complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Explorer nicknames are randomly generated fantasy names — children are never asked for their real name. Ads shown to under-13 users are tagged as child-directed and non-personalised.
Optional Firebase Auth
If you choose to sign in with Google, Firebase Authentication handles the login. Firebase stores a minimal authenticated profile (display name, email, UID). This data is governed by Google's privacy policy. You can delete your account at any time from your profile page.
We Never Sell Your Data
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share personal data with advertisers or data brokers. Google AdSense may use cookies to serve relevant ads, but this is governed entirely by Google's privacy policy and your Google ad preferences.
